They've gone bust?

Is that the start of a nasty trend?

Paul (wilf) is still running the workshop.

I'm not allowed to say anything else :augie .

Scary given how long they've been in business. Does it affect touratech in anyway. Some mention years ago that there was some link between the two :nenau

search on D+B and the answers will become apparent....:augie

the difference northern rock was a PLC and share holders, got arseholes like rabbits noses... listening to the news...fearing the worst... trying to get the money out...that's what did it for them...

Bracken is a different kettle of fish...

but thanks to us honest folk Northern Rock is back making a profit, wonder if I can get a tax rebate for being such a nice bloke....:augie

Ltd. companies in general are all struggling, nobody is paying anyone and it's a hopless situation, I know of 3 companies in my industry who are all struggling...to the point nobody will touch'em.. which actually makes it a self fullfilling prophecy, once "it's alles ueber der platz" very few can recover.

No idea what the score is with Bracken, I've only ever tried to buy a bike there and nobody wanted to serve me...:blast

Sad day indeed, I used them when I was a despatch rider in the 80s on an R80RT, bit aloof but good.

Bracken's website header has this statement

Never liked them myself, always had bad dealings with them in my KTM days along with a number of my chums.

Still, it's always sad for the people (who are probably very nice) that worked there. Being made redundant is not a nice experience...I do know that.

Touratech UK used to be owned by Jon Watson-Miller, proprietor of Bracken, it has for some while become wholly owned by N.Plumb Esq formerly of Welling now of deepest darkest Wales, sometime Dakar jockey (and pretty handy with it too).
