Cheers

Next time I do mine I am going to get these, then all you need is a length of pipe from your nipple to bottle...... ;)

Mytivac sorta thing?

Hein Gericke.

Didn't like it and got better results using a spanner and a lenght of tube. Tube was about £39.50p cheaper as I recall.

Thats the way ive done brakes and hydraulic clutches in the past.Just thot it be easier coz of abs. Also wot thread is the bleed nipple for bleeding the clutch.?

oh dear. i've just bought a proper metal mityvac, not one of the cheapo plastic HG mityvacs :(

i last did my 1150 with a bit of clear plastic tube . i thought there might be all sorts of probs with the ABS but it was not difficult.

Cheers guys. Will try that. Any one know wot thread the bleed nipple is so I can do the clutch?

No idea what the thread is but it`s the same as the front calipers :)

it is on my 2000 1150, i think it's M10.

don't forget to buy a nipple to replace the bmw valve thing on the F/R/H caliper if fitted.

Ment to ask if u guys have got abs and did u bleed it from the unit or just at the calipers.(2002 1150)

Calipers first then ABS unit.

i.e front calipers, nearest reservoir first, then front nipple on ABS unit, just trace the pipes to see which is which. Then same with rear.

Make sure reservoir is kept topped up.

i thought, if there is no servo, brakes can be bled from calipers. that's what i did, never touched the ABS unit.

02 bike doesn't have a servo does it?
