Hi Guys,
Those that are in the know, your thoughts please.
For the last 9 years I have serviced my own boxers and I beleive you can yourself do a better job that some of the main dealers.
My question is this, the brake fluid change, on my 2011 GSA it is shown as at 1yr and then every 2 years.
Does it need this frequency of change or are BMW being over cautious?
I appreciate brake fluid is hygroscopic - but I notice that my main Toyota dealer does not change the fluid at the recommended interval on my car, they check the condition of the fluid first.
My thoughts was to purchase a 'Brake Fluid Tester' and change the fluid when the reading goes from green to amber, obviously not waiting until red!.....That way I change the fluid as it starts to deteriorate rather than when BMW say so, Your thoughts?
