my 1150 had a hugger that I have just removed, this has left 2 very ugly hex long spacer type bolt heads

The standard bolts are M10 x 25

Are these 10.9 grade bolt ?

I can get these in a local bike shop very easily

They are to either hold a flimsy bit of plastic in place, or fill a hole. i wouldn't be too concerned about grades for this application ;)

its to hold the caliper on

I've just picked up 10.9 ktm brake caliper bolts up preloctited

£1 each

BMW ones were roughly £10 each apparently

sorry, i misinterpreted your post and assumed you were on about the hugger bolts. caliper bolts are of course a different story.

glad you got it sorted for not much money.

Seriously,
The bolts are screwing into aluminium, so the grade of bolt is irrelevant. The bolt only needs to be as strong as what it is screwed into. Anything above the tensile strength of aluminium is adequate.
