Brake Corrosion

Question for the technical minded.

When I had my bike recently serviced, the garage made mention that the front calipers were binding. They took them off and cleaned them thoroughly, but it doesn't seem to have made much difference.

Apparently, the calipers have corroded, hence the binding.

Will something like this be covered under the bikes approved used BMW warranty at all or will I have to bite the bullet and pay to fix it? And if so, what can I do to fix it?

i'd have thought it would be covered.

it's a strip, clean & rebuild of the calipers. new seals & possibly new pistons. re-fit & bleed.

a half decent job might be possible by just unbolting the calipers & removing the pads. that might be good enough. edit: just seen this has already been done.
