Stupid is as stupid does. :o :o

I am about to refit my left side brake disc and ABS ring but can't remember how they came off.

My wheel only has 5 threaded holes so does the ring go on first with the brake disc sat on top or the other way round.

Can't find any picture s of this wheel. The only ones I can find have threaded holes for both the brake disc and the ABS ring.

As always any info/pics gratefully received

In order from the mounting bosses.
ABS ring
Disc
Bobins
Bolts
If you sit and look at it, there is no other way. Because if you had the ring on the top it would foul the sensor and probably the fork leg.

Cheers for that steve, when I loosly assembled it all up it didn't look right.

Nice to have it confirmed though, gives you that warm fuzzy feeling.

discs

And make sure you put the discs on the right way round with the holes flowing towards the rear of the bike,if that makes sense.Otherwise you will have very poor braking in the wet. :(

Yep got that bit right Andy. Mine are the old style discs and luckily they were illustrated quite clearly in the workshop manual.

Strewth Del, surely that write-off isn't fixed already ???? You have been busy.

Dude,

It's not a 'write-off' in the UK sense. Just severely cosmetically challenged.

Got most of the bits in. Repainting the lower fork bridge and fork leg bottoms as they are bubbling up a bit. Tank and plastics are getting painted next week and then it's reassembly time. :thumb :thumb

The beauty of live and working in Cyprus is I get every afternoon off to escap e to the garage and tinker.

Still need a right side brake disc and a set of headlights though.
