not quite sure how i found this but suspecting some play in my 08 gsa front end,grasped my brake discs and found they rotate about 1mm for and aft of the bobbins,so whats normal and what are yours like

...picked up a ticking sound under braking in my front brakes. 760 miles on the bike. Off to AJ today, lickity split (
) the techie finds out it is due to a failed washer between the bolt and disk. Ah, easy I say. Nope, needs a new disk, gotta order it. Huh? Well, seems like it comes as a pressed kit - no spare washers 
Moral of the story - get it seen to under warrantee, 'coz the solution may be more than one bargains for.

thanks for that,but to be honest brakes work just fine with no strange noises at all,agree about disc though im sure my old guzzie had rebuildable discs with seperate washers etc

It is a floating disk and is supposed to do that.
