I've sold lots of wavy discs over a long period, had no complaints yet.

Inferior discs wear out pads :D

And they've come down in price. I operate very simply, If i can't sell quality items cheaper than anywhere else for your GS, i don't sell them. :D

How do you tell if your 1150 has a thinner front disc? Phone call to the dealer or was it something stamped on the brake disc.

It's a thin disc if it has the brake caliper in the picture attached, with the cover over the pads.

These discs/calipers are always fitted to servo braked bikes, never to normal/abs braked bikes. But you can get servo bikes with the normal calipers . I don't know why, ask BMW. Perhaps they just used up what was on the shelf.

You can fit the "thicker" disc to a "thinner" disc bike but not all of the disc will used , but you can't fit the "thinner" disc to a "thicker" disc bike...

Can you put me down for two wavy rears ( :D )for the 12 pls :thumb2

I'm correct in thinking the HP uses the same rear as the 12 - right?

Standard 1100/1150 rear discs out of stock at the moment - Next delivery due in soon :thumb

Not any more. Ive decided that having no discs on the front adds to my adventure/devil-may-care riding style.

All fronts now in stock 1100/1150/1200GS, and rears for 1200Gs.

Standards £70, wavy £78.

Only wavy in stock at the moment for 1100/1150 rears.

Due to huge demand and an overworked cutting machine i've sold out of standard rear discs for the 1100/1150 and 1200, and wavy fronts for the 1100/1150 and 1200.

very low on wavy rears for all models but plenty of standard front discs for 1100/1150 and 1200 models.

Also trying a new super deep matt finish  on front discs, plus a matt black carbon look finish :cool:. Will see how the finish on both looks after some hard use :thumb

If you want those cool black carbon look discs tested on 1200GSA for 2,500 miles a month over winter, to see how the finish holds up, I could be persuaded :aidan

PM me :D

All in the name of Science, 'natch.

Only standard or wavy at the moment. But I do have a pair of deep matt shiney fronts.

The carbon black are chewing pads at the moment. But it's like hitting a brick wall when you slam the brakes on. It's being worked on.
