Well the curse of BMW has caught up with me again !
Riding my K1200LT with the servo brakes along the Autobahn at a steady 90mph been riding all day and the brake light starts to flash and the red triangle comes on. I try my brakes and there are noi brakes. I cost to a halt reset the brakes and they fail again.
Many different syptoms everytime I reset the brakes
After checking all the switches and levels bike recovered to BMW shop.
He plugs the bike in and it says High pressure in the system it turned out that one of the front caliper pistons had stuck in causing the pressure increase and the brakes to fail. What a clever design ! ( I was there as he pushed the pistons in and out and then the light went off and now the brakes work)
So I think its worth keeping an eye on the calipers it would be helpfull if in the service schedule it mentioned this as if I had known they could cause the brakes to fail I would have paid more attention.
