Brake fluid change at service??

I have just booked my 07 1200GS in for its 6K/1st annual service at Vines of Guildford and have been quoted £350. I am sure when I had the same service on my 05 bike in 2006 it was about £70 cheaper!! When I queried this I was told they change the brake fluid now at 1 year then 3 years which has added to the cost?? On my 05 bike it was every 2 years from the 2nd year as it had steel brake hoses. Does anyone know if this has changed? So what with the £25 for the loan bike and the £5 to dispose of the old oil (which I am not paying as I will take a container for the oil to be put in) it is getting very expensive to run a BMW.

Even if you do have to get it changed thats still an expensive service. When mine was done at 12k (inc. brake fluid change) it was £180

Next time book it in with Bahnstormers, Cheaper for the loan bike and service costs are cheaper to

Only problem is I would have to take a day off to have the bike serviced with them. I must say Vines seem to be getting more expensive although I have always had good service.

i have had my bike only 10 months bought from Bahnstormers
done 14K miles
had bike serviced three times plus new tyres + minor warranty work
everytime i have had great service from all the staff
