A bit of help needed for a mechanical numpty.

This pic is of the front brake connection between the hose and master cylinder of my 1990 PD. The handguard has been moved out of the way for clarity. I am thinking of replacing the standard hose with a braided hose but all the pics of braided hoses show banjo connections.

Even the downloaded BMW workshop manual seems to show a banjo connection going into the master cylinder.

Is mine a standard fit?
Would a banjo connection fit into the master cylinder?
Can I order the same fitting as I have and if so, what's it called?

Many thanks,

Steve

You can have a braided hose made with whatever fitting you desire.

Banjo bolt and end fitting is a straight replacement fit. And much more preferable than a screw in hose fitting.

Note that not all banjo bolts are the same length, and not all banjos are the same thickness.
I was supplied with a combination which was grounding in the bottom of the hole just when it should have been tightening up , so check carefully if you go that way.
