I'm sure it's the switch in at the front brake lever. Sometimes when I start the bike the brake light is on and the computer doesn't turn on the servos or abs. If I fiddle a bit with the lever so the brake light goes off I can hear the servos kick in and the brakes are grand. Thing is, when I'm driving after I brake once, the brake light might stay on and I can hear the servos when stopped at lights.
Now, I had this problem before and got it fixed, but I was going to do it myself this time. It's part number 14 here: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=0382&mospid=49381&btnr=32_1755&hg=32&fg=10
But if you go down to description it says "ONLY FOR REPAIR AT THE DEALER'S".
Just wondering why? Is it a messy job to replace it? Or do I need software or something?
