Can anyone help with this problem - the light seems to be permanently on at the moment. I have Malky's 'Widebrake' LED's fitted as well and these also stay on (they are woired correctly), so the problem is probably in the switch. There was an earlier post which suggested cleaning the rear brake switch. How do I do this? (detailed instructions please!!)

If cleaning this does not cure the problem how do I check the front one?

Thanks for your help

I was talking to a friend last Sunday who has had his Front Brake light switch stick on a couple of times:(

He took it apart and cleaned it up, WD40 etc, and it worked fine again for ages.

Could be that..........??

Rear brake light switch, just behind the pedal, catches all the cr@p of the day!

Give it a good clean with WD40 and wiggle the lever/spring etc., it might just be that.

If your GS is the later version then check wether or not your taillight has blown. The bike has a feature in its electronics which puts a reduced voltage to the brake circuit if tail lamp is lost and this causes the auxilary lamps to light as well. Had the same problem on mine with auxilary lamp fitted under luggage rack
Hope this helps
