Brake pads going awol?????

My 2010 1200GSA had to replace rear pads at 12000. Has done 2 Dolomite trips, one of those 2 up. I thought it was fair use given how much more I use rear brake 2 up. Strangely fronts only 20% worn. Never mind its only money.:thumb

It might be worth trying sintered in the rear but that'll just help it to eat rear discs more quickly.

From my limited experience of them, they also seem to demolish front tyres at close to the same rate as they do rear ones.

They eat front and back tyres at an identical rate, wearing both boots out at a little over 5,000 miles. That's with minimal motorway use, mostly N and D road hooning in France.

I am on my third set of Metzlers at 12000 miles, last changed at 11,000. So, I'll be expecting to change again at 16,000. Shame they won't do six a pop, to at least line up with the service interval.

I may well go sintered front and back next time around.
