Brake pads - noise ????

When i brake , a guy at 100m can hear me!

The pads make a stupid big noise...
is this normal???

Mine does too, I believe there`s a couple of threads on here about cleaning & putting copper grease on the back of the pads to reduce the noise. I only notice mine when I`m coming to a stop.

Mine does that noise too.I called the bmw
official service and they told me that they can be replaced within warranty.

I JUST called the dealer @ Athens and told me that i may need to put the pads off,scratch them a bit and then put them back on !!

They suck, we have to call to BMW Germany or smthn...

Same problem here, mentioned to my dealer who recommended "filing the corners of the pads down a bit" (whatever that means!!)
Have read in other threads about using copper grease etc - seems to have a mixed success rate.........
still at least other road users/pedestrians know your about!!
