Can anyone recommend brake pads for a 1200gs , the reason i ask is that the standard are very good but woundered if there were any other alternatives with, say, better braking effect without extra dust etc

Thanks

Reckon it's a bit like tyres but even 'more so'................

I have tried both EBC HH and Ferodo's (the oft used 'cheap' pads, 'Gold' I think?) and have found neither to give the bite or stopping power of the OE pads so have now gone back to using OE. The Ferodo's (IIRC) were also a lot dirtier FWIW.

Both pads worked more than adequetly it's just 'for me' the OE's are better.

;)

(Assuming he's got some in..)

I'm out in 15 minutes on the bank and post office run, back later on.
And to collect 100 litres of diesel, all legit, for a very very good price off a mate who buys it in wholesale amounts 5K litre at a time for his fleet of dustcarts. :thumb

Bought my bike in July 2nd hand. The dealer fitted new rear pads as part of the deal. After 4k miles, I was about to head to Morocco, checked thickness and decided the pads were about 75% gone, so changed them for Ferrodo platinums, which I had used in my 1150. (took the old ones as an emergency set, just in case the Ferrodo pads didn't last)

Home again, about 5k miles up on the Ferrodo pads and they are no more than 50% worn.... Dust from them not worth mentioning... rear wheel looks fine.

As for the feel.... a good bite in dry or wet conditions and they don't fade.

Where did I get them from?..... this bloke..... great service and even better price
