the above is in need of some new pads soon, and was wondering the general concenus on front pads.
I have used EBC HH pads on previous bikes without issue and has improved the braking slightly, my concern is the balance between pads that last for 20k but fek the discs
or a soft pads that last 5 k and performs well, if so what are the recomendations

I`ve fitted Carbone Lorraine pads to my 1100`s,and they`re fecking awesome.
They`re as good in the wet as in the dry.
Strong and progressive....not grabby.

They are a bit pricey,though...and produce a lot of brake dust.

The OE pads on my 1200 are still going strong after 24,000 miles! I have had a replacement set (EBC) on the shelf for months, but they never seem to wear down.

You have to consider that, even if using pads that last a long time makes the discs last not as long, you may still save money if you are buying four times less pads - at roughly 20 quid a pair it soon adds up.

Yep the front OE pads on the 12GS just don't wear. The rear however.....you need a spare set of pads for nipping down the shops :(
