Having an expensive weekend - got 2 screws through my back tyre on friday, so got both tyres done today. Whilst the wheels were off I noticed the front pads could do with replacing.

My local BMW dealer wanted £95 for 2 sets of front pads:eek:

So...I want to stick with OE pads or equivalent (brembo?) as they are great but not at that price - anyone suggest an alternative? For an '02 abs 1150 with evo (BMW branded) calipers ta

resurrecting an old thread - no £95 was the price for pads, on their own. Ended up going for a pair of Ferodo Platinum, doing the job nicely they are and for £30 a pair. :thumb2

Many years ago I asked my BMW dealer why BMW Brembo pads were twice the price of non-BMW Brembo pads. Never got a decent answer. It's alot of money to have BMW stamped on them.

Got the same pads off Steptoe a lot cheaper. :clap

However they do make a lot of black brake dust:mad:

Will try something different next time.:augie
