Just got off the phone with Bahnstormers and my 09 GSA has been recalled.

Bahnstormers are serviceing my bike on Friday coz they are cheaper than Vines. Vines can do my recall ( if a get one) for free!!!

I have a March 2008 GS Adv so checked just with my dealer and records show that my bike has already had this upgrade. Advice is to check first, what the service bulletin has done I think is to extend this brake line upgrade to far more bikes. Sam

IS THIS RECALL
for all GS'S I could not find this on the vosa web site, anyone got which vin numbers are affected??? off to the dolomities next month will be using lots of brakes, my nearest BMW dealer is 35 miles away so it would be a day out, nice to know before hand, cheers Neil

I called my dealer today about the above and guess what i have been told!
Your bike is not affected sir, Ow! BTW when you come in for the 6000 service in June we now have to change the Brake fluid at this service.
Is that the new way, or am i expected to pay for the Mechs time to do the pipe change
PS: the bike is June 09....i thought fluid change was @ two years

just received recall from Allan Jefferies today for my 2009 gs for brake pipe recall ?? was only in for service last wednesday did not mention it then so i assume BMW have only just decided to do a recall

Call my dealer today (rainbows) my 08 1200gs is on list but they have not the new lines till next week,best too check.

All details you need to determin if your bike is included are in the PDFs I uploaded earlier in the thread. If thats too difficult, quioting your VIN number to any dealer will get your answer.
How come a dealer being 35miles away makes for a day out? Negotiate a free loan bike and go early o'clock 2 mornings on the trot. Or wait until your bike needs a service.

I stand corrected, SBW were adament my bike didn't need a recall on Monday even after I sent them details of this posting. Letter arrived today asking me to contact them to book my bike in for a free brake pipe replacement. Well done for starting this post, you were ahead of the dealers.
Firstly thank you WindyChuffer for all your infomation. Thanks to you I picked up some numbers and phoned my BM dealer in Aberdeen. Yes I have this recall and this is on an August 2007 1200GS. So it is booked in at the beginning of June.
