Due to customer demand STAHLKOFFER is now offering a BRAKE RESERVOIR PROTECTOR for the BMW F650/800 GS range. It has been expressly designed such that it makes unwanted removal of the reservoir lid much more difficult AND reduces significantly damaging the reservoir whenever the bike is dropped. The protector comes in hard-wearing mild steel, powder-coated silver & is available complete with fitting kit for £17.99 (including VAT) plus postage. Pictures of this item will be available on the UKGSer website shortly. If you are thinking of coming to the Prescott Bike Festival near Cheltenham on the 22nd April they will be on sale with all the other assessories we now manufacture.

Front brake or rear brake?
The front brake reservoir lid/cap is enough of a pain the rear to get off at the best of times, not worried about losing that, the fact that it looks like a laboratory sample of sorts usually is enough to keep the grimy mitts of the great unwashed at bay.

Sorry should have mentioned it is the rear brake reservoir protector. I agree with your comments about looking like a laboratory sample but we think it enhances the look of the bike AND does protect the reservoir in the event of a "spill".

Thanks, actually the rear brake protector is a fine idea.
The comments about the lab sample were directed at the front brake reservoir which, I firmly believe, was designed by the same guy who designed the stock seat, the stock F650GS twin front windshield, and the contents of the "tool kit".
Glad to see he doesn't work for you!:clap

REAR BRAKE RESERVOIR PROTECTOR

Unfortunately I am experiencing great difficulty uploading some photos of our new rear brake reservoir protector. To date I have only managed to upload one! Nevertheless I will persevere and hopefully post a few more pictures in due course.
