Brake snatch on 1150

Howya,

I am looking for a solution to a case of uneven front brake bite which is upsetting when braking to a stop - I sort of kangaroo stop if you can imagine that. Annoying.
The brakes bite more as the wheel rotates,then less, then more and so on.
It appears to be a wheel speed variation.
No pulsing felt in the brake lever, no warped discs found, brake pads ok.
Cleaned the discs with meths, no difference.

Anyone had this problem and any suggestions as to how to solve it?

Sounds like the good old distorted discs syndrome. Warranty repair - how old is it?
How did you check them?

what years your bike.
Had a problem with the ABS on my 02 1150. on two occasions (about a year apart) slow speed emergancy stop felt like brake lever had jammed and could not pull it back to stop. first time thought it was me 2nd time new it was'nt.
Had new ABS unit fitted no problem since. Only after I found out there have been a few problems with the 03 models ABS and the dealers were replacing them on warrenty. None of the problems show up on the memory in the ABS when they do a fault test. Lean on yer dealer a bit. Luck

I cleaned things up and now will observe the result.
