Brakes

So I have a 2004 1150GS and today the hazard light came on steady and the brake failure light flashes, which means something about one of the ABS not working properly???? Well accoridng to the manual at least. I turn off the ignition and it goes away and this only happens when I am sitting in traffic and my engine temp is starts getting high.
Any ideas out there.
