Brand new 250 lc for sale near alan jeffries bmw

In the great scheme of things 8k don't sound tooooooo silly for a brand new LC, I wish I had the money.

I bought mine new in '79 for £999....................

Probably came from Padgett at Batley

They had and may still have a few 250LC's in ctates (no 350's though:()

They've got loads of desirable new old bikes in crates, they call it their pension:thumby:

LC

Interesting, but what would you do with it?

Lovely to look at but if you ride it a mile you convert a lovely rare £8,000 investment (possibly!) into a very overpriced used LC.

And you probably push it home too because I can't believe 32 years of storage will do the crank seals a whole lot of good :D

OK, I'm just envious!

Couldnt agree more, Route 65 in Ilkley have a 2000 unused kwak 600. No miles, pre reg for some emission dodge. Do you store it, how hard would that be ? Or run it take a hit on the £5K asking price and risk some rubber seal in the engine letting go and tears? Thats why its been in the shop for over 12 months.

Personally I'd just use it.

I've never held with the idea of buying something that was designed to be be ridden then being afraid to use it incase it devalues the bike (or even, as seems to be the case with many, affects their trade in for next years model) - I just don't get that?

So, my reasoning is, £8k for a brand new bike not £8k for an investment.

Re the seals, I would want to replace them although I'm not sure how much of an old wives tale it is that they perish/harden over time as I know of a few very old strokers that are being used with no probs after years of being laid up?

I'd hardly think a un-boxed 350LC would be worth what they are asking for the 250. Ultimately, it's only worth what someone will pay.

I've a 350 sitting here in my lounge which I got in 1988 when I was 17 for £250,I remember at the time thinking bloody hell what have I bought as it was slightly poorly, couple of years back I got it all back to standard and reprinted in original colours and decals,I've used it a bit when weathers been good, but I'm not sure I'd pay 8 big ones for a new one which you would be terrified to ride, although possibly compared to fs1es at 5 and a half grand its good value maybe?..actualy I think 5750 is the most I've seen a fizzy up for...absolutely barking...the lunatics are out of the asylum.

Its only £8k you could spend that on a fishing rod:nenau

Toy money for rich folks, where's Att?

It's no surprise really that rare old bikes are fetching silly money. Its anyone guess when they will stop going up.

Stock market is risky. Bank interest is negative (if you even trust the banks not to collapse). Property prices (except London) are at best static.

And all the financial lunatics have spent years telling lies and swanning around in Porsches paid for by people's pension money...
I've wasted loads of money over the years on some 'bloody old Yamahas'...the 350 lc is in the lounge with a yz 465, there's a 250 lc,a tenere,an it 175 and a few more yzs..they seem to have done slightly better than the pension I'd paid into for ten years or so..so much for sound financial advise..:)
