Brand new, lasted 3 hours

Oh dear, unpacked my new 2720, RTFM, updated it, then went for a drive in my car, Great, fitted the (Garmin) power and audio cable, turned it on, great.
Put my helmet on to check the audio through my starcom, Nothing.
Checked the unit and it wasn’t powered up.
Plugged it in, indoors and nothing, just the four buttons lighting up.
Ive now got to send it back and wait for a new one.
Gutted.
The worrying thing, is what has happened and why? Ive checked all the leads and all is well. I soldered ring connectors on the wire ends. All fitted as the manual says.

Before you send it back, it may be worth checking if it works in the car again.

i checked the fuse, the power is getting to the unit, as the lights are lighting up on the buttons. i have tested it on both the mains and the car charger, no luck. its boxed now and ready for posting tomorow.
i hope this is a one off

Cheers Neil.................. sorry for wasting your time., just tell me this, looking from the rear, i put the red cable on the right of the batt and the black cable on the left. (thats where all the other reds and blacks are going)

John, thats a good idea, but i tried it on all three cables and the result was the same, just the button lights working

Is there anyone who can come and check my electrics, Ill pay top dollar. just need it checked before i plug a new one in.

well, got a new one today (tuesday) and all is fine, updated and plugged into my Bike
it hasnt blown up yet
