brand new r1250gs limiter

can i ask on a brand new bike r1250gs ,do they have a limiter on the rev range/speedo ,that is removed on the first service by the dealer
i know this is the case on the s1000rr,but does the gs have the same thing

ok thanks,so i take it your bike has not had its 600 mile service as yet

None on mine either. Not had first service yet, on 430 miles.

great thanks guys ,the reason i ask is because i have bought my first ever brand new bike a r1250gs triple black,its coming tuesday ,i have bought from a dealer 300 miles from home .
after speaking to the salesman ,he told me that because i have my own vat registered garage i can service the bike myself providing i use bmw parts .thats no problem.and the warrantee will be just fine .
i intend on keeping it for just about for ever so i will service it myself ,i do have a motoscan tool to clear any service lights .

Goes in next Wednesday, it has 675 miles in 4 trips

Think it’s just the S1000 that’s limited, not sure if that’s all variations though
