Hi Guys,

Another question for you.

My battery is failing, ABS not initialising but because it is starting OK, I have not got it fixed yet. Was intending to book it in to BMW (warranty on exisiting battery, I'm not made of cash!).

This morning, after my trip to work, just parking up and the battery light came on and the Neutral light was fading. I hope it's going to start....

So I tried to get some Breakdown cover but want some advice. The main problem I've got is that some of these breakd down cover policies, even thought good value (green flag 34 basic up to 69 for the full monty) don't start for 48 hours after purchasing it....

Anyone know of a company that will allow for immediate cover as my bike might not start!!! Train home for me then.....

Cheers

Pretend to be someone else who has cover.... It's normally the policy holder who is insured these days, not just a specific vehicle.

I "know" ahem cough cough of persons unknown who have done this before, quite easy really.

It seems to me that I recall that both AA and RAC make avirtue of telling you that you are instantly covered if you sign up for their serivices at shopping centres, spuermarkets, motorway services etc etc etc ...

Yep, I'm sure that's the case. It's the Relay part of the service that has a 48hr start delay IIRC (for fairly obvious reasons)...

Mike:)
