Breakfast at Cafe Hockley, Saturday 8th August

What sort of lanes ?
I managed 100 yds on a farm track on my Suzuki vstrom !!!
That's all
Anything suitable for beginners ?
I have the bike but not the skills
Also at this stage of ownership don't want to drop it
Can't make it this time as coming back off holiday but would love to meet up with you guys for a ride and breakfast
Cheers

Ill have been chat with you guys at the cafe just had the bike and to be honest scared stiff of dropping it .
It was bad enough when I dropped the vstrom in the petrol station !
Hand guard scuffed up ,engine bar scuffed up, indicator broke, my mate laughing !!!
Looking forward to meeting you all though.
Also I understand your the guy to go to for repairs etc ?
Got a service booked in at Pidcocks but thinking of going else where after.

Sorry have I missed the time ?
No it's still nxt Saturday
Seriously though, there are plenty of lanes out this way that are very suitable for the big bikes,
But my advice would be to get some time on a smaller bike with a bit of tuition before venturing out on a Lardy GS
Gary up at adv. bike warehouse runs training courses.

Lawvar,

As Mike says, Gary (Skygod on here) does great courses in Derbyshire and supplies the bikes too.

I've attended two and you learn something new each time. He teaches at your pace. You can't help but have a great time and learn loads and build confidence at the same time.

I keep meaning to do one of his training days. Must get one done soon.

Thanks for letting me know!

I would have but was invited along by a mate who was going with a load of his mates. It didn't seem appropriate to invite some of my own mates along as well, if you see what I mean? Apologies & all that.

Me too. In fact I've booked twice & both times have been cancelled due to inclement weather.
Let me know when you intend doing it & I'll see if I can hop onto the same course, possibly with a chum. It would be good to do it with a friendly face.
Weekends are best for me.

I'll get in touch with Skygod and sort some dates out, see if anyone here is interested. Last time I spoke to him I think the price was about £100?
