Only just seen this. I hope they are just on holiday, it's one of the best chippies for miles, they have done wonders for my figure over the years , as have Watson and Brown pork pies , and fresh Cream slices.

All's well bear. Butlers chippie is still open. Just had to find out, so i called in and celebrated , with chips, fish, roe, and peas, all wrapped up in the Mercury newspaper. Jobs a good un.

Thanks for organising this Duncan. A nice spot and the breakfast was good too
Now that we have moved to Sheffield it appears that niether the Yorkshire or Peak District sections organise much in the way of meet ups. It would be good to have a semi regular meet halfway between Sheffield and Nottingham as Unfortunately the ride to Nottingham is not inspiring whichever way you go

The ride to Nottingham is awful, its either motorway or speed cameras.

Im often at Forest Corner on Saturday mornings whenever I'm not at work.
