Breakfast Bimble (Northumberland)

You know how sometimes you need a bit of an excuse or reason to go for a ride?..... no? Well I do sometimes: So I wanted breakfast, but all the usual places are well-worn routes, so I decided to go via the proposed venue for the 2010 NE UKGSer event.
So off I went west along the Military Road.

Ta-da!

.....and a bit up the road:

...Vindolanda..."Vindaloonies" ... geddit?....fuggin wasted in here I am....

There's some lovely gated roads and bits of Roman stuff all around the venue:

From there I headed via the shortest route across to Rothbury ....

I was the only bike there on a lovely Summer morning at 10:00 ...so I had a buttie..

....and returned home via the 1200GS's "natural environment ".....

....picking-up supplies for the week's bait.

Route looked like this;

Not a huge run or overly spectacular..just rather pleasant....

I love my GS

That`s not a butty...or even a buttie.......it`s a batch (some 'foreigners' would say a barm).

Any bigger and it would be a 'bin lid'.

Either way...t`ain`t a butty if it ain`t on sliced bread (toasted or not).

And where`s all the sauce that should be oozing out of it?????

It said "buttie" on the menu board, Egon Feckin' Ronay... and I prefer to allow the wonderful flavour of the finest Northumbrian sausage to rise above a delicate hint of tomato ketchup, which is just visible on the edge of the bun/bap/batch/roll/barm/stotty/cob.............

On reflection, Id say it was a 4" stotty/stottie with sausages and tomato ketchup...

Corbridge Tandoori - We had a UKGSer NE Xmas meal there - Very expensive.
