Breakfast meets

The Cow Shed at Beltonville Farm is very good. Stopped going to Monyash as it gets too busy at the weekend but OK midweek unless you arrive just behind an oldies cycling club.

Always room in or out at the Cow Shed as it is very big. Good breakfasts at a reasonable cost.

It’s on the Tideswell to Millers Dale road on the right just after the Youth Hostel. Watch the entrance as it is a bit rough and steep.
Watch out for the gravel on that bend; more so if there's been a heavy downfall a day or two before; the entrance and exit does keep you on your toes . :beerjug:

I’ll sort something out next week re dates etc.
A few health issues to attend to over the next few days, but when that’s been sorted, I’ll be free to arrange something.

Popped into the Cow Shed today for coffee and a toasted teacake - a good venue with lots of indoor seating if the weather is a bit iffy.

Entrance needs a bit of care but fine for us rufty tufty adventure bikers ;)

Mickdb has mentioned this place also. Never called in although I pass it many times and yes the entrance is not the best and it's on a shit bend. Must give it a try. Will I need to stand on my pegs Paul🤔

You only need to stand on your pegs if if see someone sitting at the the tables out front ;)

I would have loved to have gone, but had an afternoon birthday party for one of Sue’s friends to go to. Have to collect Sue from the train station late morning from her jolly to Brighton.

I did call in to the Old Smithy at Monyash a couple of weeks ago. A fair number of bikes there but easy to get seating and only a very short wait for food ( 10 mins for the Full English).

I think a mid week meet this time of the year would be no problem. May be just a little busier at the weekend.

The meet at Shardlow looked popular as well - just hope I’ve nothing on when the next one there is!

I have offered a coule of times and to put on a ride afterwards. Even MickDB liked the lanes I took them all down. The Newlands farm Shop does a very nice breakfast, far better than any of the 'biker jaunt' breakfasts in the Peaks, including the horrible Smithy in Monyash. It is too 'biker friendly' for my liking and gets hoards of bikers there, the Yonderman is a shadow of it's former self to the point I would label it 'poor', but with good parking. There are some 'under the radar' places I would suggest, with proper breakfast, not greasy spoon fare.

Was anything ever arranged for a peak District meet in the near future ?

How about next Saturday at the Cow Shed (Beltonville farm) at 09:30 ? Meeting there at 10 for a rideout, so would be a good opportunity to bump into some UKGSER's ?

Midweek suits me better. I still think a midweek meet at Monyash would be fine as its not too busy at the mo. Just need a reasonable day.
Next Saturday and Sunday is the open weekend at the National Motorcycle Museum near the NEC, and I've got commitments there.

Quite happy with Ratty's suggestion of Newlands Farm shop too!
