Just having a reviving coffee....shall wheel out the steed in a mo'....

I'll be doing the breakfast and heading back to watch the BSB on TV. :rob

See y'in a bit.

:bounce1

I can see the washers in the plate where I tightened the bolts. SW-Motech will be getting a call Monday about their "new improved" pannier brackets. Couple of spring washers in the pack would have avoided it.

Was the issue Bob had fixed on the way back?

Snoopy can't resist an opportunity to discuss relative reliability of his and Bob's bike...

Hope those who continued west had a good time and Bob, that you took the Hexham route, which is why you vanished from my mirrors...

:beerjug:

Yes and tightened well (the washers embedded into the number plate a bit). It's SW-motech's new frame (just out) and they need to include spring washers.

Just got back in. The two "vintage bikes" and the Kawasaki had a nice run around the lakes, Devils bridge, Teesdale and Weardale.

Funny enough no more break downs of bits falling off ;)

After all the excitement and stress of thinking the unthinkable (I may have a problem with my bike) I have found the problem.

Self induced I'm afraid - not plugging the connector back into the coil properly. FPC was not guilty; I was :o

Guess what - while I was faffing around a chap (with a beard and Barbour jacket) just couldn't resist telling me how good 1150s are.

Chris I did take the Hexham route - a little shorter when your on one cylinder.

Had a great day out breakfast at hartside was spot on . The vintage 1100 is back in the care home with its feet up .

So no 1200's suffered mechanical failure? Have we set a record?

That guy going on about the 1150 was checking both our bikes out from different angles. He never stopped looking at them. Jealousy is an unspoken word...

Well......?

On reflection it was for the best that all three 1200's turned back after about 40 miles, it meant the rest of us didn't have to worry about baby sitting for the rest of the day;)
