Is anyone breaking their LC for spares yet? I need a new brake lever - oops.

:jes:jes:jes:jes

At least Dick Turpin wore a mask :D

What happened, did the ASC not do it's job :nenau:D

Pure rider error. Foot slipped on spilt diesel on gas station forecourt. Dropped bike. Lever hit pump pedestal. And it snapped at the sacrificial joint.

Anyone have a camera?

UKGSER rule of accidents/spills/mishaps:D

Then the petrol station will have to foot the bill.:rob I was out with a friend a couple of years ago, he was on his Fireblade, and exactly the same thing happened, but causing a lot more damage. The petrol station footed the bill as it was their responsibility to ensure that spillages are cleaned up.:rob:beerjug:

Only if it's been reported and ignored.

OK, I gotta get off this place for a bit, I'm starting to post like a pedantic cock :blast
(I'm right though)

Thought that was the rule for pot hole claims with local councils?

A filling station has a duty of care and importantly Insurance, Where there is Blame, there is a claim!

The filling station will have video footage to confirm the incident, get back quick, speak to a manager with replacement costs and if you get no joy look to go to No Win, No Fee, just the threat may get you the 100 Quid BMW will want.

May you spontaneously combust..........

Hey J'mo, you should have bought a nice light 1200 oil head, the 28 kgs less weight means you'd have saved it:toungincheek

Err... It's a brake lever. Admittedly a BMW priced brake lever. But I might pass on trying to make someone else pay for it as life is too short. :-)

Though I'm starting to like this short lever. Saves a bit of weight. Might file the break smooth and then snap off the clutch to match.
