Breathable kit option - stay cool !!!

Have often pondered an alternative set-up to oufits like Rallye II kit, which is very warm and quite cumbersome, esp. if you are walking off the bike at a destination / stop etc.
Having been thinking of a protective mesh jacket, like Alpinestars Bionic / Acerbis Koerta, underneath a much lighter (and cheaper) Enduro style jacket, such as an Alpinestars Venture . Adventure - or even a Klim (Adventure Spec) if the budget could stretch to it. If heat were required, a light electric vest such as a "Warm and Safe" could be added.

I have often thought of this option before.

The air jackets always strike me as being ideal for touring...light, airy and convenient...but never really fancied freezing in them on the trip down to the destination.

So a warm, weatherproof 'jacket' to wear over it had often crossed my mind.

I'd be interested to know how you got on
