Hi,

I still have a slight drip of petrol out of one of the breather hoses coming from my tank. I've ordered some more clamps but I wondered if it was worth replacing the pipes as well, after all, they have been sitting in petrol for nearly 14 years.

The question is: Do the breather hoses inside the petrol tank have to be made from any specific type of rubber, or can I stick any old type of pipe in there?

Cheers,
DA

You must use proper "fuel grade" pipe - 'any old pipe' will more than likely just fall apart / dissolve and cause untold grief.

Pennies from any decent motorfactor.

That's tomorrow sorted then!

Thanks,
