Every service I drop the carbs and give them a clean and blow out with a mini compressor in the garage. I always find a small amount of goo from the breather system. Its worse in winter as I suppose the goo condenses in the cold air and gradually partially clogs the idle cct making the tick over lumpy. Clean out the carbs and its back to normal. Has anyone else had this? I was thinking of re-routing the breather system to outside the Airbox.
I've had the Seibenrock midrange cam in now for a while and I must say things are very smooth and quiet. Engine mods consist of the 1000cc seibenrock kit, Modified heads to match the barrels and pistons. Still running the smaller carbs. I will probably stick the taller 5th gear in at the next G/Box rebuild but its going so well I don't want to screw with it.
I would like to fit another exhaust but I need the solid pillion mount of the standard silencer. All the alternatives seem to involve the bolt on mount that looks a bit wobbly. Anyone know of a fairly fruity system that has good options for the pillion footrest?
I've also grown tired of the buffeting from the standard screen and the ermax alternative and cut around 2.5 inches of the standard screen. At the speeds I chug about at (120/130kph) its a lot better with less noise.

Quite a few folks extend the breather to a catch bottle somewhere behind the battery. If you have the flat filter there is already a hole with the little ducks bill vent which can be removed on the hole used..
Auto parts store sell little filters which you can fit to the vent on the bottle if you think it is needed.
Most new vehicle manufactures recommend that you run a regular dose of cleaner through the fuel system, so when I do the cars I add a bit to the bikes too. Oz fuel is , er, variable, so it is almost essential, even without the breather mess.
The cheap stuff seems to work just as well as the stuff four times the price, but I change brands just in case the different brands work better in some areas than others.

Thanks, I never thought to put it by the battery. I would like to turn the battery round to fee up more space to carry stuff under the seat (tools etc) My old R80 was cavernous in comparison.
