Had a quick spin out today to the Brecon Beacons with Spanish John. Weather was good but could have been a shade warmer. At least it didn't rain. A round trip of 338 miles from Basingstoke. Not sure how much fuel we used. Panzer does seem to have used a minute bit of oil.

Not sure how you insert pictures in between text so instead I have numbered them.

1) Taken on the B4560 looking East. Pretty high on the Brecons near Coed Y Waun. Panzer (At the front) and Als newish 1200.

2) A couple of miles further on from 1 showing a nice sweeping curve.

3) Taken from the same spot as 2 (Looking South). Nice sweeping curves on that much too short bit of road. Looks like I Photoshopped the sheep on. But no they are real. Seems Wales is full of them. They are like organic speed bumps as they make you sub consciously go slow as hitting one will probably result in an off.

4) Was taken on the A470 next to the Burger Van looking East towards Llyn Cwm llwch. New (Until 2013 when the 1250 arrives) and old.

5) For lunch we stopped at Ystradfeltte and I popped down to look at the caves. Very impressive. Well pleased to see that on top of getting free entry to Wales (No Toll payment for bikes) it was free parking at this beauty spot.

6) In the car park above the caves. Its a very narrow road that gives access to the car park and a lot of vans transport cavers to the site. Luckily we didn't meet any but it could have been interesting if we had. Continuing the ongoing debate over which is best 1150 or 1200. I certainly think the 1150 looks better in this shot.

7) This is a hill somewhere just South East of the caves. Looked pretty so I took a shot of it.

8) A shot of the Llywn On Reservoir from the West bank looking south.

9) Continuing to explore the Welsh Valleys we ended up hacking across the middle of the Beacons. This shot was taken near Talybont Reservoir looking East.

10) At the end of the above road is a nice little bridge. Talybont on Usk. Can't believe how brown the canal water is. Wouldn't like to fall into that.

Very nice, one of my fav rides past the Talybont res, there is a nice little cafe in the village just b4 you go over that canal lift bridge.
I was in Basingstoke today ,Red lion Hotel, rather have been in Brecon tho.
Glad you enjoyed the ride.:thumb2

11) The Keepers Pond. We had a bit of a Gavin and Stacey moment with the chap in the black leather jacket. He was riding a Harley and came over to speak to us. he tried to explain a nice little run back to England but once he realised we would never find it he offered to lead the way. So many thanks to Harley man for going out of your way way and showing us a twisty along the Usk valley.

12) The last photo for this trip. Those sheep really are inquisitive, and noisy, Dolly came over to try and nick some food. In the end I gave her a breakfast bar. Nearly love at first sight.

In summary after today's trip. It seems like 1150 Gss are like fine wines. The older they get the better they get.

Very nice.:thumb I love going into Wales on the bike:beerjug:

Ha!! You must have searched long and hard to find a pic where the 1150 looks better than the 12.
