Brembo P4 calipers on a GSA

Lol...anchor chain.

I might wait and see what happens after my CTS surgery...if that improves the grip then it might not be so much of an issue.

2 month update ...

Puk, you were right mate, things got worse over the last few weeks, and it was starting to get ridiculous. With your words ringing in my ears, the GSA was collected on Friday and a shiny new Speed Triple arrived to replace it.

I read somewhere that a GS(A) can outbreak an R1 (don't know much about them except that they look like they are fast:rolleyes:)

Unfortunately that very definitely isn't the case - whoever wrote it needs a reality check. I tried different levers, had the system checked twice by the dealers (confirmed fine both times), new fluid, different pads (which helped a bit - until the fluid cooked) etc etc.

It's simply a case of only being able to bend the laws of physics so far before they break - at which point you end up on the floor.

Your riding a bus FFS, do you really think it's going to stop as quick as a sports bike :blast, but if you do change your set up first dibs on your old pads :D

I expect mine to stop quicker - look up the stopping distances for an R1 and compare them with a 1200GS (as tested by Bike magazine), the GS does stop in a shorter distance from 70mph :D:D

I remember reading that, it was a 'test' carried out by Bike magazine and the GS did indeed outbrake an R1 - it was an '05 servo model though.

I guess another advantage of brembo discs/callipers may be to get away from the problem of warped discs.

Just under 40,000 miles and I have trashed 3 sets of front discs (and one rear)

I cannot find my pics at the moment (at work), but I have found a couple on the web.

The kit is made by a Japanese company called Moto Corse, they do a lot of bits for Dukes and MV's, but also a few BMW bits.

The braking performance may or may not be improved - but it just looks wrong to me; it is a bodge.

Andres, that would probably go some way to explain it. On my 07, I couldn't even outbrake a knackered ZX7R whose brakes are on their last legs.
