the tourances currently on my black(best colour) 1150GSA have just about had it,anyone tried bridgestone 020's,i only use her on the road ,so is it worth it?

I had a rear 020 on my loan bike, seemed very good. Considering it had a trailwing on the front. None of the people using it ever noticed :D :D

I have used 020's for some time, the're very good. They have just been replaced by the BT-021 which are supposedly even better, and so there are lots of deals around for 020's while stocks last. I bought a pair recently from www.intobikes.co.uk at a very good price (no connection!).

Sorry to hijack the thread a wee bit, but, I take it the 021's are on your GS?

I have been told that they are not yet available in a front 19" fitment :nenau

If you're only ever riding on tarmac then there's no reason not to use sport-touring tyres if the fitment is available. I'm using an Avon Azaro AV45-ST front and Avon Storm ST AV56 rear combination and like them a lot better than any 'adventure-touring' tyres I've used. They've only been installed for about 1500 miles so I don't know how long they'll last but I'd happily trade a bit of tyre life for additional grip. They're also much quieter.

Note that the Storm is not yet available in a 19 in front fitment and, as a word of caution, the Azaro AV46-ST rear initiates a drive-line resonance on a 1200GS.

That was the same set-up I used until I fitted the Alloys....changed to a 160/70 rear with standard TW front....worked well....:D

The tyres I bought at a good price are 020's as they are selling them off cheap because the 021 is replacing them. I dont know whether the 021 is available in 19" as per the 020 yet. My GS has been converted to 17" alloy wheels so I have the luxury of a wide choice of tyres, which makes it a LOT of fun!
