I'm just in the process of getting a second wheelset. so TKC's on spoked wheels and pure road tyres on cast wheels. Bit undecided at the mo on the road tyres .... possibly roadsmarts ...
I have had two sets of Battlewings, one set of Conti Trail attacks and I'm on my second set of Dunlop Roadsmarts. Both Dual Sport versions are OK but the Battlewings gave me more feel in wet/dry conditions and I always knew when I was close to the limit. I found the Conti's OK in the wet but the front let go in the dry on a couple of occasions without any warning which meant I never had full confidence in them. The Conti's were the slowest of all on turn in rate. The Roadsmarts as you would expect are better than both as a pure road going tyre for wet and dry use with a good linear turn in rate. Cant wait to try out the Roadsmart II when available. This on an '08 1200GSA. Can't get anymore than 5.5K out of a rear though regardless of which ones are on the back. Probably down to me that one!
