Brief Interview With Harley's New Design Director

There's a lot of 'performance' related quotes in there and the low rider is far more in that drag bike market than what was being made before. Sounds positive to me.

Not me. I have to watch my Ps and Qs when in here now I've sold my Harley otherwise I cause offence. It's great :thumb

Err...wasn't it your Harley that sparked the discussion in the first place, Wood boy...with its magnificent luminaire?

Can't have been. Everyone loved my Harley :D

I was so looking forward to having someone who could string a sentence together in the Gnarley section too. You chased him off though :augie

We could have had discussions about art and culture. I could have asked 'What can Cubism tell us about the world in which it was created?' Picasso and Braque were brilliant artists but they did not work in a vacuum, their work is deeply embedded in their specific cultural time and place I feel.

Ah well...I'm stuck with you lot...Doofus and Cleetus.

perhaps i can help picasso never worked in a vacuum he worked in a studio near barcelona

See what I mean?

We could have started a new sub-section...'High-Brow Harleys'
We could have worn Fedora hats and berets with slightly crumpled linen suits whilst listening to Jazz. Ahh...what could have been. :tears

I'm just not convinced hiring Brad Richards from Ford where he was in charge of designing F150 pick-up trucks is what HD really needed? At least he's a Harley enthusiest as well and I guess it could have been worse they could have taken GE's refrigerator designer.

I'm so sorry Clifton. You can try as hard as you like to have an intelligent discussion in here but it is highly unlikely to get off the ground. I feel for you, really I do. I admire your tenacity though. :D

A friend of mine works for a consultancy who design sound systems for VW..... he travels the world and enjoys a well paid life.....but.....

he still gets annoyed when every time I see him I ask..... " Have you found a better location then the two door panels and the dashboard for your speakers yet?"
