Bright bulbs help

I've found that the +X% brighter bulbs tend to blow quicker, especially with the boxer's vibes. Not quite sure if I'd go for the blue versions.

Luckily, if the bulb does blow on a run, you can swap with your high beam bulb - it being the same type.

Surely Xenon is used in discharge lamps, and filling the bulb with it isn't going to be different from using any other inert gas? The filament is still tungsten, which isn't going to approach a 7500K colour temperature without filtering out a load of light, making them less bright overall.

Sounds like snake oil to me.

Have a look at this thread for a bit more discussion.

Firm believer of you get what you pay for. And those don't look like you're getting much. Personally, I have a pair of Phillips GT150 bulbs fitted (from Nippys) and am more than pleased with the better light produced compared to the oe ones.

Be prepaired for the HID Mob gloating about how much better their lights are. :augie But that's ok if you have the extra dosh set aside for that upgrade.
