It's coming up to servicing time on the 1150gs and I've been looking at spark plugs. I've found Brisk plugs on the motorworks website which make some pretty bold claims, http://www.motorworks.co.uk/vlive/Shop/Parts.php?T=5&NU=15&M=30&Ct=VA&SbCt=BA_15_30_VA_65&spPage=2 I was just wondering whether anyone has used these if so are they really that good?
If nobody has used them do people think that a spark plug can really make that much difference?
It might sound dumb, but I can partly see that it could make an improvement but i dont want to get suckered into spending nearly £13 on a spark plug for no reason.

I fitted a set to my 1100 as I read somewhere that they may help to reduce the surging problems at low speed. The bike did seem to run a tad better but maybe that was more to do with the plugs I took out being 10 years old.

Fitted some years ago to my 1100RS. Made no discernible difference. I use iridium plugs these days; much better IMHO.

Fitted Brisk to my 1100 several years ago, got about 80 miles and had to change them for a set from a Ford Fiesta outside Halfords, they were that bad. Ran on the Ford plugs until I sold it :D

Tried them on my 1100 a few years back, the bike wouldn't run beyond 4000 rpm . Run standard ones now and it's spot on. Don't know if the 1150's different but my 1100 also didn't like a Remus can or a K&N air filter, all standard now and it runs as it did new ( I've had it that long ! ):rob

Another '+ 1' for irridium plugs. First time I've ever fitted new plugs and noticed any difference. (Cleaner pick up). And the old, standard ones hadn't been in there long enough to warrant renewing, according to the book.

Not sure I'd throw away recently fitted standard ones for irridiums plugs - but if it's service time...

Thanks for your opinions, sounds like I'm gonna go for some iridium ones instead. I must say I was a bit doubtful about the brisk ones but thought I should check first before dismissing them.
