brisk spark plugs

Bump. I was chatting to a guy I met by chance the other day who recommended I get some Brisk sparkplugs. He said that his 'seat of the pants' dyno showed a noticable performance boost after installing a set of Brisk sparkplugs.

Anyone any experience/comments?

Motoworks sell them:
Brisk are a four electrode plug which forces a stronger spark. Many of the 8vr twins suffer from hunting or surging at low revs i.e. in traffic, these plugs help reduce this problem.Highly recommended for chipped or tuned bikes
They are nearly twice the price of the NGK Iridium plug though!

Did them last year, but only on the secondary set Improved the milage

I an’t supporting the theory, but if you use less throttle to get the same effect you’d use less fuel

if it caused a better burn of the same fuel, it would make more power for the same amount of fuel.

i don't believe it actually does, but it's a theory

has anyone ever replaced a set of NEW plugs with these odd things? not really fair to claim an improvement over some miley old things.
i also suspect that they mostly get changed during a service, so the bike would feel better anyway.

But just how much ( assuming a secondary plug would alter things significantly) atomised fuel would it need to save to make a noticable difference. One twist of the throttle away from the lights would use ten times more than you'd ever potentially save in a complete tank full. In theory

Less throttle, yes. But how does a different make of secondary plug give you such an engine boost that you can close the throttle for the same amount of power .

It's all advertising bollox, other wise BMW would have them fitted as standard

FOUR electrodes must mean FOUR sparks and all the fuel is burnt in all corners of the cylinder thingy therefore it makes more power - like, innit.




I bet that there brawn team use them in their new car - eh ?

Four electrodes doesn't mean four sparks ???? It just means the spark will always jump to the shortest gap, hence when the gap wears it jumps to the next nearest, so the plugs stay "in gap" longer.
