Title says it all.

Apparently, these are now my closest BMW "dealers" :augie :augie

In the humble opinion of those who have experienced them, which is the best, most efficient, most reliable of these two establishments? :thumb

Went to Bristol the other week for my GSA 6K service. Gave me a loan bike for the day so headed down to Cheddar Gorge. Free coffee. Good choice of massage parlours nearby. Can't go wrong. Downside is all the traffic.

If Stroud gave the same level of service (haven't been there) then I guess they'd be my choice simply because of the roads to ride on while the bike is being serviced.

I've used both and much prefer BVM. However they are so busy that you can wait 6 weeks for a service slot at this time of year.

I'm also a BVM fan, bought my GSA there rather than Ryedales and always go there for servicing, good prices, very friendly staff, free loan bike (even when I drop my bike off for a service on a Thursday and collect it on a Saturday), free coffee and a proper motorbike shop, not an airport terminal where they happen to sell bikes.

First ever dealing with Bath Road last week was also excellent, emailed them to ask about a neck brace and had a return telephone call about an hour later, but I have never actually visited them.

Perhaps I should have explained further; To date, I have made the trip to the mystic east of this fair land for the wondrous St. Eptoe to weave his magic at 6000 mile intervals, so no worries there! :bow

No, the reason I ask is I have had a recall notice for my '02 GS and I would like to go to the bestest, most efficient, biker friendly dealer for this, as yet mysterious rectification to my trusty steed! :rob

Only praise for BVM re: servicing, knowledge, parts, etc, etc. However, I wouldn't buy a bike from them as they just can't be bothered...

Hi Longdog, have used Bristol Motorrad for my 24k service on the 1150GSA and no problems, loan bike, took time to explain what they did etc

suggest you book early as they always seem to have 2-3 weeks waiting time before any free slots.

hope this helps

Tried test riding the F800 but they were reluctant because they (no names mentioned) didn't want me to get the bike dirty! Asked to test ride a K which they said I could but then didn't have the bike when I turned up. Took my details twice but never called to say they had a demonstrator in. Eventually bought my GS from another dealership....

Had no problems, both with buying a bike - in fact got me what I wanted and had excellent after-sales service since then. 10 out 0f ten! Wish my BM car dealer was as good! Nic.
