Brittany Ferries deposit increases from December 10th

As of December 10th, deposits for BF Flexi and Standard fares increases to 50% and 75%.

I can’t remember what it was previously but much less than this.

as low as 25% in the past, pre Covid.
In the past they have offered a Flexi ticket for the price of a standard ticket with 25% deposit in a "January sale"
It will be interesting to see what happens. Demand has been high and allowed them to raise prices, reduce the Club Voyage benefits and seek higher deposits due to holding a monopoly. There will come a pinch point where the consumer will not use them.
I imagine servicing the debt on all these new e-flexer ships is a tad demanding on cash flow.

Getting to that point now where people will think twice and maybe look at alternatives, especially since the experience on the new boats is somewhat lacking.

The good ones have been sold. The new eco boats have half the carrying capacity and are just not as nice to be in.
