On the back of my very successful Brittany Ferries Discount Thread I note that on the Spanish routes there is the CClub Lounge on board. This offers free hot/soft drinks and food throughout the day.

My questions are:
  1. What kind of food is available, is just snacks or are meals included
  2. are you able to buy alcohol in the lounge or can you take it in from outside
  3. is it worth the money
Thanks

There’s breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a limited choice of hot food, and snacks most of the day. There’s wine available with meals, which is included but no beer - you have to get it from the bar and bring it back. The food is included too. It’s nice enough but to me doesn’t replace dinner in the restaurant, but it’s fine for breakfast and lunch.

It’s at the front of the boat, so a nice view and quite a nice place to be and much nicer than the bar and public areas on the boat.

And it’s a quiet place to sit away from the karaoke, multiple tellies and such in the bar
and other areas.

Value, you’d have to be the judge. We use it for the peace and quiet.

It's not gourmet food but it's pretty much continuous. Unlimited coffee and tea, a range of soft drinks, wine on tap. As Berin mentions, it's comfortable and quieter than the other areas.

I will always try and book a Club cabin, when I'm travelling with the Mrs, and it includes the Club lounge access. But they both get booked up well in advance as availability is restricted. Is it worth it? Well the price has been well bumped up in recent times and if I was not with the Mrs I wouldn't bother, but 'she' more or less expects it :)
