Ah yes! that`s exactly what is wrong with mine fella, thanks.

it went after I did the D500 up to baden Baden thank gott in himmel

And they did it on warranty? After 40k thats good (I think) - mine`s only got 14k on it..................

appreciate your help fella

Common problem, my first set of switches lasted under 1200 miles , might be worth contacting the dealer re a goodwill claim if it is out of warranty

Common problem on older bikes, I had mine done on my 2009 K1300S and 2013 RT, under warranty, but haven't heard of any on much newer machines. The second one on the K1300S was after the warranty had expired but done under some kind of goodwill as it was/is a common problem. I'd get it to a main dealer you might get a pleasant response.

With the overwhelming commonality of response (where did I dig that up from lol) I suspect they will have no choice!

Thanks lads - power to the people

btw top tip - go to Stelvio and do Gottard % Furka (not a made up word) passes on the way and come home via the D500 - awesome!

Hi mark, I was in marshalls recently, they did mine, and there was a guy with an s1000 r having the switches done well out of warranty,
The indicator switches are on back order, still waiting for that to come,
Roamer,

Thanks I will do.

sadly sometimes some dealers struggle with `goodwill` but I can at least ask!

Especially when you have just set up a servicing workshop to take away their business:D

Are you doing tyre changing yet Mark? Need a new pair putting on mine soon.
Cheers

Haha yeah I know - I`m a right slag :D I`m only using the workshop when I need to or to help goodly fellow bikers.

yes, I hope to be up and running soon - I`ve invested in what I am told are the best and most expensive new tyre changing gear in the universe and tailored to be able to do some of the `difficult` GS rims (mebbe my F800Adv?).

It`s going to be about 2 weeks pal - dunno if you can wait that long but if you can then I`d be pleased to change them for you :beerjug:

Tyre machines update - its all being commissioned on Friday so as from next week I can change tyres too!

if I want.................

Hi

I had my RH switchgear replaced for exactly the same reason.

All completed under warranty and no problems since.
