I bought a second Brompton last year and as a result this one isn’t seeing much use and is up for grabs.
It’s a 6 speed C-Line Explore in Dark Lacquer, originally bought in June 22.
The finish as the name suggests is a transparent dark lacquer which shows off the frame welds in gold underneath the lacquer itself. Since the Dark Edition was out of stock at the time of purchase, I slowly added black parts in place of the originals which were silver or bare metal to get a similar look:
- Black Seat post (standard length)
- Black Fenders
- Black Brompton Headset
- Black Hinge clamps
- Joseph Kosouac mid-rise handlebars (Black obviously)
It has a few other extras which will be included:
- Brompton 500 lumen front light - cost £60
- Souma Leather frame protectors for the rear triangle (protects where the frame hook contacts the chain stay when folded)
- Souma Leather top tube frame protectors (not fitted in the photo
- Souma Leather front luggage pull
- Mini ‘Q-rack’ which provides a stable base for wheeling it around while folded
- Extender post for the front rack wheels, and Easy Wheels fitted to the Q rack which combine to make it very stable while folded
- P-line lower stop block - allows you to pick it up by the seat while folded without the seat needing to be all the way down
- Leather ‘Hub shines’!
I also have the original parts including bars, fenders and a slightly extended chrome seatpost - useful if you are 5’10 or above.
I do have a front Metro waterproof bag that fits onto the luggage clamp which I could be persuaded to include. Also some Biokork Ergo grips which I could include at cost, since they were around £60.
I’ll give it a proper clean at the weekend or prior to sale, but given I see bone stock same models selling for £1k or over on eBay how does £875 collected sound for this very tidy example?
I can meet up somewhere in the vicinity around Lancashire where I’m based.
