Hi all,

I bought this around two years ago as a “cheaper” way to enjoy the Brompton experience. Unfortunately (or fortunately!), I liked it so much that I’ve gone all-in and upgraded to a T Line…

"Bike's Custom" 7-speed Brompton clone (1:1)
One of the higher-end clones, with lots of upgraded metal components (e.g. clamps) instead of the usual plastic. Bought new for £800.

Includes a few hundred pounds' worth of extras:
  • Carbon fibre mudguards
  • Rear rack with built-in extension + larger roller wheels (makes it more stable and easier to roll into, say, a pub)
  • Headlight mount (I'll throw in both front and rear lights)
  • Aluminium front luggage block + block ‘pull tab’
  • Spruce-style bell
  • Fidlok magnetic water bottle holder
Total weight with all extras is about 11.5kg (lighter than a 'naked' C-line which are £800+ on eBay).

Condition:
  • General signs of use, but not dents or dings on the frame
  • Could do with new handlebar grips
  • New rear triangle recently replaced under warranty (matt black paint is slightly different). After swapping, the gears are currently skipping and will need a tune-up which I've failed to do - only 6 gears are usable at the moment.

Price: £400
Collection: West London

Let me know if you’ve got any questions!

Very nice! That's an extremely close copy of the Brompton. A great buy.

I've a Brompton C line 6 speed - an absolutely brilliant bike, but you're right about the weight being more than the one you're selling.

Any comments about your T-line experience, to date?
So far so good, a little creak every now and then but no issues. After not using it for a while I'm amazed every time at how light it is. I think the 12 speed is worth the weight trade off!
