As the title suggests, we'll be at the Broom Tavern, Broom, Warwickshire again on 7th April.

Come along and lets hear of your summer touring plans and the summer farkles you will be buying for your pride and joy.

If thats not your bag, Abrasion will bring along some knitting patterns to try. I understand Tourtafeck are thinking about marketing his cross stitched pannier liners so be amongst the first to see these marvels of technology.

See you from 7 ish:thumb

Looking forward to it.

Chance to try out my new lights... once I got the bottle to start pulling the bike apart Les's kit went straight on. Not saying HIDs are bright but I spent an afternoon getting my eyes sorted at the local hospital, 'cos they're now very photosensitive (yeah I know, iritis isn't caused by bright lights but the coincidence isn't lost on me!)

See you all there...

Al

PS Hope Abrasion doesn't mind if i bring my knitting along...trying to finish some fork covers for my bike:augie

Bad luck Luci. Chin up and I'm sure you'll be OK.

Hey guys good evening last night. So pleased with my HID lights on their first run out. Only problem was that my bike is protesting and now won't go round a corner now. Sat feeling glum in Clarks at Birmingham as they scratch their heads muttering - '...don't understand it' and after a test ride saying '... nope, you're not imagining it -horrid!'

Panic? oh yes, bikes supposed to be in a container by Wednesday for the US trip...:thumb

Yes, was nice meeting you all last night..... Hope you get the bike sorted, if i wasnt at work today i would have popped to Clarks as it's 2mins from my house.

All sorted. Mixture of things in the end.... Clarks at a loss after full workshop evaluation and two test rides. Only suggestion was that uneven tyre wear causing the problem... Chris there wasn't convinced either... but fortunately have a new set of tyres to have fitted this weekend.

On the way back... thought about it (in a little less of a panic...) mmm suspension works differently on these doesn't it? as in the forks move forward under braking, not up and back as in 'normal' forks. That means that the forks are fouling the new igniter unit from the HIDs (that I thought was well tucked out of the way in all the static testing I'd done, but foul only when braking) eukeka, the sun comes out! yehaa! :D :JB

At least there was no bill after 2 hours at Clarks. Good that they made time for me without notice and free coffee and biscuits too!
